Ian Green is originally from Philadelphia. He attended New York University and the Graduate Center for the City of New York, where he earned his PhD in 2017. Currently, he serves as Assistant Professor of English, specializing in American literature, at Eastern Washington University.
His scholarly interests include American studies, Atlantic studies, horror fiction, Herman Melville, diaspora, and digital humanities.
He has taught composition and writing, introductory fiction, American and world literature seminars, capstone level courses on American horror, Herman Melville, and digital humanities. Additionally, he has taught MA digital humanities students and has advised students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
He has also written and published fiction. Additionally, he has collaborated with fellow writers and artists to produce an ongoing series of graphic novels.
